You've found us because you searched for paddle board lessons near me and that's what we offer

That said, Surf SUP Watersports also offer Windsurfing lessons, Kitesurfing lessons, SUP lessons, Wing foil and wing sup lessons.  And better still, our lessons are run by highly qualified and experienced coaches, who have been mastering their sports for many years, so no overnight instructors with us.

Where do our lessons run?

Hopefully when you did a Google for Paddle board lessons near me, the search engine realised that we’re based in Chichester, West Sussex and in reading our website you’ll see that we have multiple venues we use for our lessons.

They include:

  • Bracklesham for Windsurfing, SUP surfing, Kitesurfing and Wing foil lessons.
Our decisions of which venue, are determined by the weather and tides, with the summer offering our most favourable conditions for novice and then the autumn, winter and spring delivering more testing conditions for advancing  your skills.
We stay active all year round, and can provide boots and wetsuits, but to be honest, if you’re going to be doing watersports in the winter, we really recommend you get your own wetsuit that properly fits, giving maximum benefit.

How many people do you teach?

I’ve seen some local instructors running courses with up to 15 people, but that’s just not good on so many levels.

Our aim is to offer the very best paddle board lessons and that means keeping groups tight, so we can give attention to each and eery person during the session both on and off the water.

From an intro on the land we touch on safety and general drills with each person demonstrating  their new skills.

We then take you one by one onto the water to get the real experience going, which is why we like to keep numbers small. It’s a win win all round as we know the whole experience is going to be that much more engaging.

How long are our paddle board lessons?

Our introductory lessons start at 2 hours, which is a good amount of time for a total beginner to go from a land intro, to practice time on the water.

In that time, we aim to cover the basics then test you out if you’re up for the challenge – no point sitting back and relaxing.

Our more advanced and intermediate paddle board lessons also take place over a couple of hours, but we look to get on the water quicker and do our drills and routines out there as soon as everyone is up to speed.
