For Sale - Starboard Isonic 111 - 2007 Great condition Usual wear and tear Small ting to the front of the board as seen in the picture No structural damage Minor blue staining to the underside of the board caused from travel bag Hosed down after every session Deck of board remains very grippy
Great condition full carbon Isonic 229 x 80.5cm with deep Tuttle Box- Ideal first foiling board or fast slalom board.
My wife has been using this board for foiling with a Horue Vini foil for about 5 weeks. There is a custom full carbon plate which is shaped to fit over the back of the board. This was made to distribute the load onto the top skin of board from rear Tuttle Box bolt - rather than the top of the box itself. There is no obvious signs of damage to the area around the box and the Horue foil is a great rigid fit into the box. There’s no evidence of nose damage from catapults as it’s mostly been used for windsurfing.
There a few dents in the bottom of the board -from standard windsurfing from stones - but have been carefully filled with epoxy. These have been there a while and are inconspicuous compared to the usual overall sanded carbon look of the board. The colour of the board has faded to a brown grey. This is usual and the reason why Starboard changed to blue the year after. It’s purely cosmetic. Only selling as moved onto a dedicated foil board.
The board is in Paignton, Devon, and collection / meeting up only , or courier at your expense if you’re willing to risk it.
Hi. The board looks great. Can I ask why you're selling it after a few weeks of foiling? Dud it not work well as a foil board? Thanks. Dan.
Hi Dan .. yes it’s great for foiling. Sam Ross uses this size for teaching.
we used the board to see if we could get foiling to work for us locally in Torbay.
Buying a new board and a foil was too much of a investment if it didn’t work for us.
.. we’re now hooked and just bought the JP 135 to replace.
Hi Rod. Many thanks. Yes, v intrigued by foiling and thinking of getting a cheap deep Tuttle board to try in the same vain. They all predictably have disappeared though. Good to know. Will hang out for a cheaper battered alternative for the moment but great to know it works. Happy with the horue?
Yes my wife is happy with the Horue as it’s really light. She finds it easier to carry the board with rig and suits her style
There seems to be a decimal point missing after the 3 😉
I remember teaching on these. They weighed a ton. Main memory is people stuffing card into the slot to stop the universal joint popping out as it was a shallow piece of wood in a slot that was always too big.
a classic, this is the early model without mast foot and dagger board cassettes, most sailors who only learnt on modern kit would not be able to sail one of these, applying all that mast foot pressure was a real strain above a force 3
When tacking in any decent wind you needed to be wary of the mast foot coming out and hitting you. Thank heavens for modern kit. 🙂
I remember where it used to hit you! Got myself in the nackers a few times uphauling one of those
Back in my day, all we had to learn on was a garden shovel for a board, and a pencil for a UJ. Wetsuits weren't a thing back then, a good spanking with a belt and buckle warmed us up before sailing,
Garden shovel, pencil for uj ,spanking to warm you up you were lucky! (Said in a Yorkshire accent)
All I will add to is that I learn on an original Windsurfer ... with the bendy boom. And owned a Sea Panther .... blimey, those were the days
I still sail one, great boards on a light wind summer evening when all the planing windsurfers are just sat on shelf’s in the shed gathering dust.
And if you want to not have the uj come out just wrap some gaffer tape round it, essential for rail rides.
Love all the comments and reminiscing. I may have omitted to add that this board is For Sale!
Memories... i learnt to railride with one of those
Bought some store/ladder hangers from screw fix little ones from trago mills
Spur shelving with 12" brackets. Screw 2x1 batten to required length onto the brackets and add pipe insulation.
Use metal unistrut
Pipe foam sleeves is the best to cover it up
I’ve used my horizontal wall bike racks - take two boards on top of each other..
2 pieces of timber spanning the sides just above head height so don't whack your head. Use 4 metal joist brackets fixed to the walls and the timber just drops in. About £15 all in and solid... stores 6 boards, sup, surfboard, sails, booms and masts easily with room for more crap. You can also still park your car or store all your other crap below.... 😉
Get some twin slot shelf rails and some long shelf supports to go with them. Cover with pipe insulation. Job done 🙂
board prob weighs 9-10kg if we are being honest and not reading the spec ...
Mike, the simple metal book shelf racking , the one where you can put the arms any where, then sleeve plastic waste pipe over the top. Ring me I'll explain better. My mates done it with sup boards should be fine and you can buy it anywhere.

easy repair if you wanted to, either tape it or have the panel replaced, Id go with the tape option myself.
I've got a 5.2 whitetip or 5.0 idol if thats any use?
Doug Reid surly you have about 20 to shift
Thanks for the tips. I'm going to research how to do the tape repair myself. If that doesn't work then I'll try getting panel replaced. If that's too expensive I'll be back here looking for a second hand sail. thanks again.
Clean it with fresh water dry it put a big sticker on both sides to be sure, Done!!!
I repaired this sail very successfully but I am selling it now for £80
Thanks Chris. Good job. I'm going to try the repair myself first. The amount of catapulting I do I think I need to learn how to do the repairs.
Loads of duck tape. Don’t worry about it, especially if your still catapulting a bit.
Duck tape it mate.
Agree with tape, but use gorilla tape (the clear one that's about £8 a roll)
Clear tape has now been ordered. Thanks everyone.
You can buy race sail number fabric by the sheet, this will give wider coverage and just as strong, good luck.

For sale a pair of Goya wave boards in good condition with fins, foot straps and bags (zips perfect). I loved sailing these boards, at 85kg they worked from the bottom of a F5-F9. I used the 92 with a 5.8m & 5.2m, when starting to feel maxed on the 5.2m changing to the 74. Nice to sail in flat water, onshore mush and good cross-off waves. Dims in pics. Used less than 5 times in the last 10 years, just had a knee replaced so no possibility of any more windsurfing for me. Also selling Ezzy wave sails and powerex skinny masts. Aeron os race boom brand new £125 – Bedford, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom
Brand new 230-260 os race boom
The Aeron OS-Race is a high-performance alloy boom designed to offer stiffness in large sails without the huge expense of a carbon boom.
Large sails suffer if rigged on a poor quality boom that flexes under load. The OS-Race is specially designed to bring maximum stiffness to rigs between around 8.5-9.5m. A short (30cm) adjustment range reduces potential flexing with more of the tail permanently within the arms. ... See MoreSee Less

Great condition full carbon Isonic 228x85cm with deep Tuttle Box.
I’ve been using this board for foiling with a Horue Vini foil and a Starboard GT for about 5 weeks. There is a custom full carbon plate which is shaped to fit over the back of the board. This was made to distribute the load onto the top skin of board from rear Tuttle Box bolt - rather than the top of the box itself. There is no obvious signs of damage to the area around the box and both the Horue and Starboard foil are a great rigid fit into the box.
There is a cosmetic mark from the mast tab from the Horue, at the front of the Tuttle Box. This is cosmetic and not stress damage. The mast tab on the Horue is there to stop the front of the mast from driving in deeper into the front of the box. So there is a compressive load, mixed with a bit of beach sand, so has resulted in the cosmetic mark.
There’s one ding right on the nose which was done on shore which measures 5mm square which was filled immediately. There is one dent on the nose from a learning catapult, but is only noticeable if you carefully feel it.
The board is in lovely condition - it is still stone grey, not faded, and always bagged. It’s mostly been used for windsurfing, and is a great fast light wind board.
It will come with standard starboard foot-straps and NOT the race-straps as on the photos.
Board is in Paignton Devon, and collection / meeting up only , or courier at your expense if you’re willing to risk it.

I've got a Bic Samba from the 90's. It is 320 cm long, 64 cm wide, 15 kg, and 170 L volume with footstraps and retractable centre-board. I've planed on it loads plus you can race it because of the centre-board; you'll find it slightly wobblier but great fun.
Soo it seems like this is the most commonly asked question on this group, but does anyone have a wide (80 cm or more) old slalom board (no older than 2012) for sale with a deep tuttle box, or alternatively does anyone have a dedicated foiling board for sale? Many thanks 🙂 ... See MoreSee Less
I have a Starboard Hypersonic 133 might sell at the right price. Wood deck model.
you'll be lucky !
Why do you want anew board, older board with a bit of rocker are far better for foiling? My 2007 fat iSonic works a treat and an old Starboard formula board was the best non-foil specific board used on Sam's camp earlier in the year!
Matt Bulbeck what sort of price are you looking at?
I’m now moving on my 2013 Starboard Isonic 117 and 127. We’ve been using them for foiling, have got the bug, and now bought 2 x JP’s
Think it’s a 2012. Used sail, bought this as after it had been professionally repaired on the luff tube in 2014. Couple of other small tears on the luff which were done at the same time but never repaired and have not changed or made any difference to the sail since. Bit of wear on the cap but no repairs or holes in the sail. Great sail, just replaced it with a newer model.... Can post for £25 but collection preferred. (UK only) ... See MoreSee Less

Well used and showing some signs of wear - but it's an Ezzy so can take plenty more!!!
Couple of small fin cuts (see photos) in the forward xply panel. Been sail taped since I bought the sail 2 years ago with no problem (removed the tape for the photos). Quite a few little dents in the xply, goodness knows how the previous owner made these, maybe rolled it up tightly with some gravel inside or was possibly a home to a couple of hedgehogs, either way - not affected it one bit either sailing or structurally and can only really be seen if you are looking up close
Great to sail, legendary Ezzy wind range, tuning and smooth power - selling as I've replaced with an Ezzy Elite
